Most lawns don't look rough because nobody mowed them. They look rough because the cut was wrong, the edges were ignored, or the crew skipped a week and never said anything. Lawn Krew works a route and sticks to it. You get the same schedule, the same standard, and a text if weather pushes us a day. Trevor runs the company himself, so there's one person accountable for the work.
We mow at the height your grass actually wants, not the shortest setting that buys us an extra week. UF/IFAS puts standard St. Augustine at three and a half to four inches, bahia at three to four, and coarse zoysia at two to two and a half. Cutting below that thins the turf and invites weeds and pests.

What's Included Every Visit
Clean, precise edging lines
Driveways, sidewalks, curbs, and walkways get a straight, defined edge. This is the detail people notice from the street, and it's the first thing that goes when a crew is rushing.
String trimming around obstacles
Fence lines, mailboxes, posts, AC units, tree rings, and bed edges. Trimmed to match the mow height, not scalped down to dirt where the mower couldn't reach.
Hedge and shrub trimming
Shaping hedges, foundation shrubs, and ornamentals so beds stay tidy and plants keep their form. Cut back off windows, walkways, and siding where growth is crowding the house.
Hard surfaces blown clean
Driveways, walkways, patios, and the street edge blown off before we go. Clippings left on pavement wash into storm drains, so they belong back on the lawn.
A quick look at the lawn
If we spot yellowing patches, chew damage, or a broken sprinkler head while we're out there, you hear about it. No upsell, just a heads-up so you can act early.

How We Run a Route
You call or text, we come out and look at the property, and we give you a flat price for the visit. No walk-around required on your end. Once you're on the route, we come the same day each cycle. If a storm knocks us off, you get a message, not silence. Clippings stay on the lawn where they feed the soil back. Hard surfaces get blown. You can pause or change frequency any time.
Worth knowing
Mowing Height Matters More in Florida Than You Think
St. Augustine is the most common lawn grass in Florida, and it's the one most often ruined by a low cut. UF/IFAS recommends standard cultivars like Floratam and Bitterblue be kept at three and a half to four inches. Scalping, which means taking off too much leaf at once, does long-term damage. It shortens the roots and leaves the turf open to insects, disease, drought stress, and sunscald. A short lawn is not a healthy lawn here.
The other half of it is frequency. From roughly June through October the rainy season pushes growth hard, and a lawn that was fine on a two-week cycle in March is over-long by day ten in August. If more than a third of the blade has to come off, the lawn takes a hit. That's why we'd rather move you to weekly through the wet months than scalp a summer lawn back into shape.
Chinch bugs favor stressed turf
Southern chinch bug is the major insect pest of St. Augustine in Florida. Damage usually shows first as yellow-to-brown patches in full sun along sidewalks and foundations. Higher mowing and healthy roots make the lawn less of a target.
Sharp blades, clean cut
A dull blade shreds the leaf instead of cutting it, which leaves a brownish cast across the whole lawn and opens the plant to disease. We keep blades sharp through the growing season.
Bahia and zoysia get different heights
Bahia is a low-maintenance grass and is often mowed mainly to remove seedheads rather than to cut leaf. UF/IFAS lists it at three to four inches. Coarse zoysia runs lower, around two to two and a half.

Lawn Maintenance questions, answered
How often should my lawn be mowed?
It depends on the grass and the season. Through the Florida rainy season, roughly June into October, most lawns need weekly service to stay inside the one-third rule. In the cooler months, bi-weekly or monthly is often plenty. We'll tell you what your lawn actually needs at the estimate rather than pushing everyone onto the same plan.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. There's no long-term contract and no cancellation fee. You're on a schedule because it keeps the lawn healthy and the price fair, not because you're locked in. If you want to pause for a season, change from weekly to bi-weekly, or stop altogether, call or text Trevor at 727-326-2276 and it's handled.
Do you bag the grass clippings?
Usually not, and that's on purpose. UF/IFAS recommends leaving clippings on a lawn that is mowed at the right height and frequency. They break down fast, return nutrients to the soil, and do not cause thatch. If the lawn was badly overgrown and clippings are clumping, we'll disperse or remove them so they don't smother the turf.
What happens if it rains on my service day?
If the lawn is too wet we will reschedule to the next available day. Our goal is to keep your lawn looking sharp.
Do I need to be home when you come?
No. Most of our maintenance customers are at work when we're there. We just need gate access and any dogs put up. If you're a rental owner or you're out of state, ask us to text you when the visit is done and we will. Payment doesn't have to happen at the door either.
