Mowing and Yard Care Across the Richeys and Hudson
We are a small family-owned outfit. Trevor runs it, and it is named after our son Krew. You talk to us, not a dispatcher. Price is agreed before the first cut and it stays there. We cover New Port Richey proper, the city of Port Richey to the north, and out into Hudson, so one crew handles the whole stretch.
This part of Pasco is a mix. New Port Richey incorporated in 1924 and downtown still wraps around Sims Park and the Cotee River. West of there you hit the canal neighborhoods. Inland you get the 1960s and 70s subdivisions like Magnolia Valley and Colonial Hills, plus newer walkable Longleaf. Hudson adds Beacon Woods and Heritage Pines. Different yards, different equipment.

Salt, Sand and Canal-Front Lawns in New Port Richey
Anything close to the water here deals with salt. UF/IFAS rates bahiagrass salt tolerance as very poor, while St. Augustinegrass and zoysiagrass both handle moderate to high salinity, which is why the canal lots in Gulf Harbors, Flor-A-Mar and Hudson Beach are almost always St. Augustine. Coastal soils in this area tend to be sandy with a higher pH, so yellowing from iron or manganese shortfall is common. Move a few miles inland and the same street can support bahia with no trouble.
Clippings Stay Out of the Canals
On waterfront lots we blow clippings back onto the turf, not into the water or the storm drains. It is basic, it keeps the seawall edge clean, and it is the right thing for the Cotee.
Pasco Watering Day by Address
Pasco runs the district's once-a-week schedule keyed to your last address digit, Monday through Friday. Low-volume hand watering of beds is allowed on other days within set hours, but not on lawns. We plan visits so we're not cutting soaked turf.
Alley-Loaded Lots in Longleaf
Longleaf was built as a traditional neighborhood development with garages off rear alleys and small front yards behind big porches. Access is from the back. We work those lots without dragging equipment across your neighbor's grass.
Established Hudson and Port Richey Yards
Beacon Woods is the oldest and largest subdivision east of US 19 in Hudson, and Timber Oaks and Regency Park in Port Richey are similar vintage. Mature landscaping, settled irrigation, plenty of edging work.

Asked and answered
Do you cover Port Richey and Hudson too?
Yes. Port Richey, New Port Richey and Hudson all sit in our regular route, along with Bayonet Point and the Jasmine Estates area. We are a service-area business with no storefront, so we come to you. Give us the address and we will tell you honestly whether it is on our run. If it is not, we will say so rather than waste your time.
Will you get to a canal-front yard with a narrow side gate?
Usually. Most of the Gulf Harbors and Flor-A-Mar lots have a fence line and a gate onto the seawall side, and we size equipment to what fits. Tell us the gate width when you call. Where the gate is genuinely too tight, we use smaller mowers and trimmers and it takes a little longer, which we account for in the quote.
Why does my grass near the water look worse than my neighbor's inland?
Salt is the usual answer. Salt reaches coastal lawns through spray, irrigation water and saltwater intrusion. Bahiagrass has very poor salt tolerance and will not hold near the canals. St. Augustine and zoysia both handle moderate to high salinity, which is why they dominate the waterfront streets. Sandy, higher-pH coastal soil also makes iron and manganese harder for the grass to pick up.
Can you mow a Longleaf lot with the garage on the alley?
Yes. Longleaf was laid out as a traditional neighborhood development, with almost all garages and driveways pushed to rear alleys so the streets show porches instead of garage doors. Front yards are small and the alley is the working access. We come in the back, keep the trailer clear of the alley, and trim the strip between the drive and the fence.
Do you take away the debris from a big clean-up?
Yes, hauling is part of what we do. Palm fronds, hedge trimmings, storm debris, an old pile behind the shed. It goes on the trailer and leaves with us, and it is priced into the quote instead of billed after. On the older New Port Richey and Hudson lots with mature landscaping, that is often the bulk of the job.
